All activity fees, dates and times are subject to change at anytime.

POOL COUPONS!

Beginning Jan. 3, 2012 you will be able to once again purchase pool coupon books. The coupons will be good for any Parks & Recreation pool event including aquatics and lap swim at Bellmont, Adams Central and the Decatur City Pool.

The coupon books cost $15.00 for a book of 10 coupons. The coupons will be good for 1 person per coupon per visit. The coupons are good for 1 year and will expire  December 31, 2012. The coupons will be available for purchase at any of the aquatics classes, the Decatur City Pool (during open season) and the Parks & Recreation Office at Riverside Center @231 E. Monroe St. Decatur.

Pool Rental (subject to change)
The Decatur City Pool is available for rental during its off

hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays only starting at 5:30 pm. Your fee for the rental includes the number of lifeguards that will insure the safety

of your guests. To rent the pool, please go to Riverside Center beginning March 1, 2010. There is a pool rental agreement form you must fill out. Please book your rental at least one week in advance so that we may properly staff

your event.

Rates for pool rentals are subject to Change.

Additional Rental Fee Policy for Water Contamination:

A $70.00 to $125.00 chemical charge will be incurred to super-chlorinate the Decatur City Pool caused by vomit, blood or fecal accident. This treatment will eliminate the risk of the pool water being contaminated with Noroviruses, Cryptosporidium, Giardia,

E-coli and/or Shigella.

Plus: An additional $10.00 per person, per hour cleaning rate will be incurred to disinfect pool toys (kickboards, noodles, diving rings, etc.) and pool equipment (brushes, poles, screens, etc.) that were exposed to the contaminated water.

With a minimum of 1 hour.

The total minimum charge to be incurred will be $80.00 to disinfect the pool.

The American Red Cross offers a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate swim program that teaches you, your child or other family members how to swim skillfully and safely. The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level , except for Level 1, which has no prerequisites. Each level also includes lessons in water safety.

Refines the strokes so participants swim them with ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. Level 6 is designed with “menu” options that focus on preparing participants for more advanced courses, including the Water Safety Instructor, or the other aquatic activities, such as competitive swimming or diving.
