What we do:
The Adams County Emergency Management agency was established in 1965 after the Palm Sunday Tornado.
The Agency is to assist the citizens of Adams county in the event of any type of disaster, whether man-made or a natural event.
We are charged with working with all emergency service providers in the county with their needs by developing plans and resources for equipment or personnel request which they may need in the performance of their duties.
Services Provided:
As part of the cooperation with the National Weather Service we provide severe weather announcements to warn the citizens of upcoming severe weather and road conditions.
Meeting Dates:
Meeting's start at 6:30 PM and are held in the EOC. Meeting dates for the EMA/LEPC are as follows:

September 15th
November 17th
Warning Levels:
- SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH: Tells you when and where severe thunderstorms are likely to appear
- SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING: Issued when severe weather has been reported by weather spotters of indicated by radar
- TORNADO WATCH: Tornadoes are possible in your area. Remain alert for approaching storms and listen to radio and TV for announcements
- TORNADO WARNING: A tornado has been sighted or indicated by radar
